How You Can Help us Attain our Mission
The diverse community of physicians, researchers, and staff in the Division of Neonatology share a common goal: to initiate and rigorously pursue both basic science and clinical research to better treat, and one day eliminate neonatal diseases, and to consequently improve children’s health. Our dedication to excellent medical education, groundbreaking research, and compassionate patient care has made the Division a leader in the field of neonatology and in the establishment of standards of care worldwide. We believe access to first-rate healthcare is an essential component in achieving this mission, and we will strive to positively impact health policy in this regard.
UCSF only receives between 5 – 10% of its funding from the State of California. Despite the economic challenges we face, we are dedicated to maintaining the high caliber of excellence that UCSF is known for. Therefore, private gifts are becoming increasingly important and we can only continue to achieve our goal of improving children’s health with the support of friends like you. Your generosity helps us succeed in our vital medical endeavors, which will ultimately enhance the lives of countless patients. Please join us in our mission to eliminate newborn diseases through research, discovery and targeted treatment.
